Traveling to Mongolia this summer? If you’re arriving through Chinggis Khaan International Airport and heading to Sukhbaatar Square in downtown Ulaanbaatar, the airport shuttle bus is a simple and reliable option.
After clearing immigration and collecting your luggage, head to the left side of the arrival hall to find the Bus Ticket Information Center. You can get guidance on where to board and check the timetable there. Tickets can be purchased at the nearby kiosk using cash (MNT) or card. The fare is 15,000 MNT for adults and 7,000 MNT for children.
To catch the bus, exit the main doors and turn right — look for the “X:19” sign.
The shuttle bus is modern and comfortable, offering:
- Space for luggage
- USB charging ports
- Free Wi-Fi (intermittent)
- Air-conditioning
- Occasionally English-speaking staff
The ride to the city can take up to 2 hours depending on traffic, but it often runs more punctually than taxis thanks to its fixed schedule.
Timetable (available during tourist season, in summer):
- Airport to city: 7:40 AM – 11:10 PM, hourly
- City to airport: 5:30 AM – 9:00 PM
